dc.description	Smart cities are an option, which are posed by capitalism, to promote technological consumption, increased living costs, and property speculation. The demographic growth of the 21st century cities has led to the inclusion of technologies to achieve sustainable development in the so-called smart cities. However, the question arises: is this the way to achieve sustainability or is it a market strategy proposed by the neoliberal model in order to increase technological demand?	en-US
