dc.description	Latin American cities face significant urban mobilitychallenges. Without ignoring any of these, the interest of this article is to show the possibilities of promoting sustainable mobility in two Latin American cities, through the use of bicycles, to face these challenges. Relevant policies are found in both cities, with Quito being more generic to the transport sector, although concerned about the issue, and those of Medellin being more specific, but without clear policy instruments.	en-US
dc.description	Las ciudades latinoamericanas enfrentan trascendentales desafíos en materia de movilidad urbana. Sin obviar ninguno de estos, el interés de este artículo es mostrar las posibilidades de promoción de la movilidad sostenible en dos ciudades de América Latina, a través del uso de la bicicleta, para enfrentar dichos desafíos. En ambas ciudades se encuentran políticas pertinentes, siendo las de Quito más genéricas al sector transporte, aunque preocupadas por el tema y las de Medellín,más específicas, pero sin instrumentos claros de política.	es-ES
