dc.description	This article presents a brief characterization of the legislation governing the mining industry, particularly the reforms issued from the first decade of the century XXI, highlighting the incentives given to big business for the sake of turning Colombia into the country of destination large investments in this sector of the industry. It continues with some relevant figures regarding mining application and certification in the country, concluding with some relevant elements concerning the possibility of generating development from the mining industry.	en-US
dc.description	El presente artículo realiza una breve caracterización de la legislación que regula la actividad minera en especial las reformas expedidas a partir de la primera década del siglo XXI, resaltando los incentivos otorgados al gran capital en aras de convertir a Colombia en el país de destino de grandes inversiones en este sector de la industria. Se continúa con algunas cifras en materia de solicitud y titulación minera en el país, para finalizar con algunos elementos relevantes en torno a la posibilidad de generar desarrollo a partir de la industria minera.	es-ES
