dc.description	Nowadays, there are several major extractive projects in the province of Santander, one of them is the coal mining in ChucurÃ. This activity has as an outcome many environmental damages, as well as socio-economic harms. In this paper all those damages are briefly presented, but the main point is to show the paths and tools used by the community and the civil society in order to restrain the harm and to get compensation for it.	en-US
dc.description	Actualmente en el departamento de Santander se adelantan varios proyectos extractivos de gran envergadura; uno de ellos: la explotación carbonífera en el Chucurí. Esta actividad ha redundado en ingentes daños ambientales, sociales y económicos. En este artículo se exponen brevemente todos estos daños pero se hace especial énfasis en los caminos y herramientas que la comunidad y la sociedad civil han utilizado para frenarlos y lograr su resarcimiento.	es-ES
