Objective: The objective of this research is to analyze the perception of the use of mobile applications for coping with stress and managing emotions in pregnant adolescents from rural environments in the Department of Sucre. Method: The qualitative approach was used, and the grounded theory was considered as the most suitable design. Eighty-seven adolescents participated in this research, three people from the health field and one person from the educational area with experience in working with pregnant adolescents from their area. Results: It was found that most adolescents use emotional avoidance as a coping strategy; others use passive coping strategies such as behavioral avoidance, and present with aggressive reactions directed towards themselves or towards others. Both pregnant adolescents and health professionals do not use information technologies frequently. This aspect must be considered for the development of support tools in the emotional care of pregnant adolescents.
Objetivo: El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la percepción del uso de aplicaciones móviles para el afrontamiento del estrés y la gestión de las emociones en adolescentes embarazadas de entornos rurales del Departamento de Sucre. Método: Se utilizó el enfoque cualitativo y se consideró la teoría fundamentada como el diseño más idóneo. En esta investigación participaron ochenta y siete adolescentes, tres personas del campo de la salud y una persona del área educativa con experiencia en el trabajo con adolescentes embarazadas desde su área. Resultados: Se encontró que la mayoría de las adolescentes utilizan como estrategia de afrontamiento la evitación emocional; otras utilizan estrategias de afrontamiento pasivas como la evitación comportamental, y se presentan con reacciones agresivas dirigidas hacia sí mismas o a hacia los demás. Tanto las adolescentes embarazadas como los profesionales de la salud, no usan las tecnologías de la información frecuentemente. Este aspecto se debe tener en cuenta para el desarrollo de heramientas de apoyo en la atención emocional de las adolescentes embarazadas.
