dc.description	The aim of the present study is to analyse the origin and historic evolution of the so called "Urban Sports". In order to achieve this goal, a descriptive methodology has been applied by means of documenting through direct observation, using secondary sources by different authors who have been contributing their knowledge and experiences on the matter. Following the obtained results it has been established that some of the most popular Urban Sports, stripped of their regulated, more customary way of doing them, are street basketball, skating and urban cycling. These have been known to cover the needs and interests arising in certain social circles during the 20th century, as a means to improve their quality of life within their direct surroundings. In many cases moving away from federations and institutionalized practices has permitted an increase in creativity.	en-US
dc.description	El objetivo del presente estudio pertenece al campo histórico y el tema de revisión es analizar el origen y evolución histórica de los llamados "Deportes Urbanos". El procedimiento empleado ha sido una metodología descriptiva por medio de la documentación a través de la observación directa, utilizando fuentes secundarias por diferentes autores que han estado contribuyendo con sus conocimientos y experiencias en la materia. Los resultados obtenidos han establecido que algunos de los más populares Deportes Urbanos practicados no de manera regulada sino libre, son: baloncesto callejero, el patinaje y el ciclismo urbano. Éstos han sabido cubrir las necesidades e intereses que han ido surgiendo en ciertos círculos sociales durante el siglo XX, como un medio para mejorar su calidad de vida dentro de su entorno inmediato, la urbe. En muchos casos el alejarse de las federaciones y las prácticas institucionalizadas ha permitido un aumento de la creatividad.	es-ES
