dc.description	Immigration is a key subject to understand Spaniard opinion about public security. With the aim to study the link between the fear policies and immigration through the arguments of the political dimension of fear and the theory of setting agenda, this paper analyzes how media (El País and El Mundo) and political parties (parliament sessional diary) frame migration from 2000 to 2003 in Spain, a period when the coverage of migration was massive in national newspapers and the politic attention. The origin and the element that determined the narrative construction of migration related to public security explains why public opinion in Spain does not question the link between migration and crime.	en-US
dc.description	La inmigración constituye una cuestión ineludible para comprender cómo se ha configurado la percepción de la inseguridad ciudadana en la opinión pública. Con el objetivo de profundizar en el estudio de las políticas del miedo asociadas a la inmigración, a través de los planteamientos de la dimensión política del miedo y la teoría de la agenda setting, en este artículo analizo el encuadre que ha recibido este tema tanto por parte de medios de comunicación (El País y El Mundo) como de partidos políticos (diarios de sesiones del Congreso) durante los años 2000-2003 en España, periodo coincidente con el intenso tratamiento mediático y la predominante atención política que recibió este asunto. Analizar el origen y los elementos que determinaron la construcción narrativa del fenómeno migratorio asociado a la seguridad permitirá comprender por qué el binomio inmigración-delincuencia no resulta inverosímil a ojos de la opinión pública todavía en la actualidad.	es-ES
