What makes us to be individuals? A post-human, pragmatic and relational framework

dc.description	The crisis of the idea of society and the turn towards the individual as the unit of problematization of contemporary western societies, eminently individualistic, have placed research on individuals and subjectivities at the core of social sciences’ work. With the aim of contributing to the renovation of this field’s theoretical and methodological tools, in this article I introduce a post-anthropocentric, pragmatic and relational framework for the study of individuals, based on multi-sited ethnographic inquiries and supported over principles that draw from post-constructivist and post-social sensibilities. As a result of the turns this proposal entails in relation to conventional approaches, new lines of inquiry open up adding complexity to this field of study. I illustrate this proposal with data from a research on the entrepreneur in Santiago de Chile.	en-US
dc.description	La crisis de la idea de sociedad y el giro hacia el individuo como unidad clave de problematización de las sociedades occidentales contemporáneas, de por sí eminentemente individualistas e individualizadoras, han instalado la investigación sobre los individuos y las subjetividades en el centro de las ciencias sociales. Con el interés de contribuir al desarrollo de las herramientas teórico-metodológicas de este campo, en este artículo expongo un enfoque post-antropocéntrico, relacional y pragmático para la investigación de individuos, basado en indagaciones etnográficas multi-situadas y sustentado sobre principios provenientes de sensibilidades post-constructivistas y post-sociales. Como consecuencia de los giros que esta perspectiva comporta con respecto a las aproximaciones convencionales, introduce nuevos ejes de problematización en este campo, contribuyendo a su necesaria complejización. Ilustro mi propuesta con material proveniente de una investigación sobre el individuo emprendedor en Santiago de Chile.	es-ES
