| dc.description | In this essay I show the main models used to explain the fashion system. I try to describe how these models have always show fashion as a relationship between the fashion system and the general population. To do this, firstly I make a historical tour around the most significant developments of fashion. And secondly I collect the scientific theories that have tried to explain this phenomenon. I conclude that there are three basic theories today which try to explain this relationship: the trickle-down model, the model of subcultural resistance and the virulence or contagion model. All of them are insufficient because they are not made explicit and they present serious analytical shortcomings. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este ensayo muestro los principales modelos con los cuales se ha tratado de explicar el sistema de la moda. Intento describir como estos modelos siempre han mostrado la moda como una relación entre el sistema de la moda y el conjunto de la población. Para ello, por un lado realizo un recorrido histórico por los desarrollos más significativos de la moda. Y por otro lado recojo las teorías científicas que han tratado de explicar este fenómeno. Concluyo afirmando que en la actualidad existen tres teorías básicas que tratan de explicarla: el modelo trickle-down, el modelo de la resistencia subcultural y el modelo de la virulencia o del contagio. Todos ellos son insuficientes ya que no suelen estar explicitados y presentas graves carencias analíticas. | es-ES |
