| dc.description | Internet and new technologies are a hot topic nowadays, that is why this book appears to be a criticism of Cyberutopism and Internet-centrism; but this was already well done in 2011 by Evgeny Morozov (2011/2012), from whom the autor takes both concepts. On the contrary, the book only uses these points as an excuse to aim much further: to the nature of the social bound and the possibilities of emancipatory politics. New technologies are present in Cesar Rendueles' discourse because there is no social realm that escapes from their pervasive influence. However, that is not the main topic or issue. | dc.description | Hablar de internet y de las nuevas tecnologías está muy de moda, por eso parece que el libro de Rendueles es una crítica al ciberutopismo y al internetcentrismo; pero de eso ya se encargó en 2011 Evgeny Morozov (2011/2012), de quien toma ambos conceptos. Muy al contrario, el libro toma esas ideas como apoyo para apuntar mucho más lejos: hacia la naturaleza del vínculo social y la posibilidad de una política emancipadora. Las nuevas tecnologías están presentes en el discurso de César Rendueles porque están presentes en la sociedad actual, porque su influencia pervasiva alcanza todos los aspectos sociales. Sin embargo, ese no es ni el tema ni el objetivo central del texto. La verdadera relevancia del texto está tiene que ver con la naturaleza política de los cambios sociales y tecnológicos. | es-ES |
