| dc.description | In this article I try to make a methodological reflection on the importance to develop a practical knowledge ("embodiment") in the fieldwork of sociologists, anthropologists and other researchers of social reality. This reflection is connected with different approaches that insist on the body's value as object and subject of knowledge. To do this, I put various authors and theoretical approaches in touch, using as excuse the Wacquant's work ("Body and Soul: Ethnographic Notebooks of An Apprentice-Boxer"), which seems to have passed, at the moment, unnoticed for spanish-speaking academicians, despite the wealth of its efforts both in the methodological level as in the more purely 'ethnographic'. In the incursion into the world of sport as a privileged arena for carrying out this type of analysis, I will focus on the notions of time, sacrifice and discipline, applicable both boxers as any other type of athlete (and obviously also to the researchers). | en-US |
| dc.description | En este artículo pretendo realizar una reflexión metodológica sobre la importancia de desarrollar un conocimiento práctico (“incorporado”) en el trabajo de campo de sociólogos, antropólogos, y demás investigadores de la realidad social. Se entronca esta reflexión con diversos planteamientos que insisten sobre el valor del cuerpo como objeto y sujeto de conocimiento. Para ello, pongo en contacto distintos autores y enfoques teóricos, tomando como excusa la obra de Wacquant (“Entre las cuerdas”), que parece haber pasado, por el momento, desapercibida para los académicos hispanohablantes, pese a la riqueza de sus aportaciones tanto en el plano metodológico como en el más puramente “etnográfico”. En la incursión por el mundo del deporte como arena privilegiada para llevar a cabo este tipo de análisis, me centraré en las nociones de tiempo, sacrificio y disciplina, aplicables tanto a boxeadores como a cualquier otro tipo de deportista (como, obviamente, también a los propios investigadores). | es-ES |
