| dc.description | Despite the need to track research on gamification for the development of environmental awareness, little attention has so far been paid to the scientometric description of this fast-growing research field. This paper explores through scientific visualizations, intellectual structures and developments by means of a cross-sectional analysis of the scientific literature within this field of knowledge, based on metadata extracted from WoS Clarivate. To this end, the examination of citations and patterns expressed within cocitation analysis is used to identify both the patterns of highly cited topics, documents, journals and authors, which constitute the basis of this field of knowledge, as well as emerging trends in gamification research for environmental awareness. As a result, an overview of the research field is obtained from the construction of topic maps, the recognition of disciplines and institutions that are the source of the most influential contributions and the structure of the intellectual networks that connect the main journals and authors within invisible schools. | dc.description | A pesar de la necesidad de trazar la trayectoria de investigación sobre gamificación para el desarrollo de la conciencia ambiental, hasta ahora se ha prestado poca atención a la descripción cienciométrica de este campo de investigación de rápido crecimiento. Este documento explora por medio de visualizaciones científicas, las estructuras y desarrollos intelectuales por medio de un análisis transversal de la literatura científica dentro de este campo de conocimiento, a partir de metadatos extraídos de WoS Clarivate. Se utiliza el examen de citas y las tendencias expresadas dentro del análisis de cocitación para identificar tanto los patrones de tópicos, temáticas, documentos, revistas y autores muy citados, los cuales constituyen la base de este campo de conocimiento, así como las tendencias emergentes en la investigación en gamificación para la conciencia ambiental. Como resultado se obtiene una visión general del campo de investigación a partir de la construcción de mapas de tópicos, la identificación de disciplinas e instituciones que son fuente de las contribuciones más influyentes y la estructura de las redes intelectuales que conectan las principales revistas y autores dentro de colegios invisibles. Como herramienta se utiliza el software libre VOSviewer para caracterizar los vínculos al interior de las redes científicas de investigación. | es-ES |
