dc.description	Ancestral wayuu games were born during daily grazing activities, where children, adolescents and young people take advantage of the time creating and executing games as a form of entertainment. The research was qualitative, using direct observation, the semi-structured interview and the use of primary and secondary information sources as data collection techniques. Bearing in mind the intention of the research, which is to know the importance of ancestral games as a mechanism of cultural valuation and strengthening of social relations within the Wayuu ethnic group, they feel that they are elderly people, preferably grandparents and grandmothers who know the historical context of ancient games. The interpretation and analysis of the results was carried out using the NVivo version 12 computer software. The results found evidenced the ancestral games for the Wayuu ethnic group, which are a fundamental part of the knowledge transmission process. The loss of these practices within the younger population makes their rescue essential. Ancestral games mark the link and interaction between the Wayuu being and his environment, improving the bonds of brotherhood, coexistence, solidarity and reciprocity between ethnic members.	en-US
dc.description	Los juegos ancestrales wayuu nacieron durante las actividades cotidianas de pastoreo, donde los niños, niñas, adolescentes y jóvenes aprovechaban el tiempo creando y realizando juegos como forma de entretenimiento. La investigación fue de tipo cualitativa, tomando como técnicas de recolección de información la observación directa, la entrevista semiestructurada y el uso de fuentes de información primaria y secundaria. Teniendo presente la finalidad de la investigación que fue conocer la importancia de los juegos ancestrales como mecanismo de valoración cultural y fortalecimiento de las relaciones sociales dentro de la etnia wayuu, se trabajó con personas mayores de edad en preferencia abuelos y abuelas conocedoras del contexto histórico de los juegos ancestrales. La interpretación y análisis de los resultados se realizó utilizando el software informático NVivo versión 12. Los resultados encontrados evidenciaron que los juegos ancestrales para la etnia wayuu son parte fundamental en el proceso de transmisión de saberes. La pérdida de estas prácticas dentro de la población más joven hace indispensable su rescate. Los juegos ancestrales marcan el vínculo y la interacción entre el ser wayuu y su entorno, mejorando los lazos de hermandad, convivencia, solidaridad y reciprocidad entre los miembros de etnia.	es-ES
