dc.description	Tuna fishing in Italy has long been identified with the centuries-old activity of the great traps of Sicily and Sardinia. Yet, along the continental coasts, many plants have also operated, which, despite the most modest results, have played an important role in the coastal and inland populations. Some aspects of the history of these minor peaches are presented here through, above all, some fundamental contributions that appeared in the institutional and scientific field between the last decades of the nineteenth century and the 1930.	en-US
dc.description	La pesca del tonno in Italia è stata a lungo identificata con la plurisecolare attività delle grandi tonnare della Sicilia e della Sardegna. Eppure, lungo le coste continentali hanno ugualmente operato numerosi impianti che, nonostante i più modesti risultati, hanno comunque svolto un ruolo importante per le popolazioni rivierasche e dell’interno. Alcuni aspetti della storia di queste pesche minori vengono qui presentati attraverso, soprattutto, alcuni fondamentali contributi apparsi in ambito istituzionale e scientifico tra gli ultimi decenni dell’Ottocento e il 1930.	it-IT
