On the earliests decades of the XVIII century, some goldsmiths, lapidaries and setter of precious stones, pressured to leave France by the restrictions of religion liberty, was attracted by the plenty of gold and precious stones arrived from Brasil to King ́s Jonh V kingdom. They came to work in Lisbon, bringing inside their souls the light of the new ideas wish grew in Europe. Some Mouton/Vandrevelde/Thirion and Mallet, who got roots in the city, between them developded family ties, and left in noble metal an artistic proof of hope in mentality reforms.
Nas primeiras décadas do século XVIII, alguns ourives, lapidários e engastadores, pressionados a sair de França pelas restrições impostas à liberdade de culto e motivados pela abundância de ouro e pedrarias que do Brasil chegavam à Corte de D. João V, vieram trabalhar em Lisboa trazendo consigo as luzes que despontavam na Europa. O núcleo familiar Mouton/Vandrevelde/Thirion/Mallet, integrado no viver lisboeta, criou laços familiares e deixou em metal nobre o testemunho da sua esperança na reforma das mentalidades.
