dc.description	El objetivo de este artículo es esbozar un “estado del arte” en torno al fenómeno de la infancia e inmigración en Chile; esto a partir de una revisión bibliográfica en la materia y considerando el marco internacional de los derechos humanos como paradigma que sustenta la investigación e intervención con las niñas y los niños migrantes, sus familias y comunidades. Se trata de un fenómeno emergente en nuestro país que de modo paulatino comienza a ser tratado en el ámbito de la investigación e intervención social. Los pocos estudios científicos realizados sobre las condicion es de vida de las niñas y los niños inmigrantes provienen en su gran mayoría del mundo académico (Tesis de pre y postgrado o Fondecyt) y se enmarcan en el área de las Ciencias Sociales. Por su parte, las organizaciones de la sociedad civil o internacionales han publicado esencialmente los resultados de intervenciones sociales realizadas con la niñez migrante y sus grupos familiares. Por su parte, resulta evidente la escasa atención que los organismos del Estado -especializados en la materia- han prestado al fenómeno de la niñez migrante, encontrándose en la práctica con dificultades para abordarlo eficazmente desde el en foque de los derechos humanos.	es-ES
dc.description	The aim of this article is to set out the “state of the art” with regard to the phenomenon of childhood and immigration in Chile, on the basis of a review of the bibliographical materials on this matter and taking into account the international framework of human rights as a paradigm supporting research and intervention with migrant children, their families and communities. It is an emergent phenomenon in our country which is gradually starting to be addressed within the sphere of social research and intervention. The few scientific studies carried out into the living conditions of immigrant children derive for the most part from the academic world (graduate and post-graduate theses or Fondecyt) and are classified within the area of Social Sciences. Meanwhile, civil-society or international organizations have essentially published the results of social interventions carried out with migrant children and their family groups. Likewise, it is clear that State bodies – specializing in this matter – have paid scant attention to the phenomenon of migrant children, in practice coming up against difficulties to tackle this effectively on the basis of a human-rights approach.	en-US
