dc.description	Dopo una premessa sui primi contatti tra la Sardegna e il Continente americano, testimoniati da una parte dalla partecipazione di parecchi missionari sardi in Sud America e dall’altra dalla importazione dal Nuovo mondo alla nostra isola dei cosiddetti generi coloniali, in specie zucchero e caffè, si tratta più diffusamente dell’emigrazione sarda in quel Continente, soprattutto sul finire del XIX secolo e ai diversi problemi cui diede luogo, servendosi in particolare delle fonti archivistiche e giornalisti che per poi evidenziare come si arrivò ad un’intensità di traffici che ebbe il suo culmine ai primi del Novecento, allorquando le esportazioni italiane superarono le importazioni in diversi Stati sud-americani, come l’Argentina, proprio per l’attivismo delle nostre comunità colà stabilite, nonché per l’istituzione delle camere di commercio italiane di Montevideo, Buenos Aires e Rosario per merito dei nostri ministri dell’agricoltura, industria e commercio (fra i sostenitori e divulgatori di questi istituti troviamo il parlamentare Giuseppe Palomba nostro conterraneo).	it-IT
dc.description	After a foreword on the first contacts between Sardinia and the Americas as shown by the statements of some of the numerous Sardinian missionaries based in South America and by the actual import to our island of the so-called colonial products, in particular, sugar and coffee, a general analysis is then performed on the Sardinian emigration to that Continent, mainly by the end of the 19th century. Besides, attention is also paid to the problems it gave rise to, using municipal records and journals as main sources to evidence how migration flows increased until reaching a peak in the beginning of the 20th century, a time in which Italian exports overcame imports in several states of South America, such as in Argentina, precisely due to the activism of our communities established therein, but also because of the organisations of the Italian chambers of commerce based in Montevideo, Buenos Aires and Rosario to the credit of our ministers of agriculture, industry and commerce. Among the supporters and disseminators of these organisations is the congressperson, Giuseppe Palomba, our fellow citizen.	en-US
