| dc.description | Departing from the fact that social and economic transformations in San Andrés Island have led to cultural changes, some of which are reflected in the architectonic landscape, the work of the painter known as Bose-ce is interpreted. Much of his work is stamped on the front of nearly disappeared houses that, however, can survive thanks to the effort of the artist to recover pieces of the remainders of the houses over which he makes part of his artistic work. This interpretation is also used to think about the importance that these paintings and houses have on the island culture by sprinting on it a mark concerning their significance as objects and objects of use that portray aspects of the ancient disappearing daily routine that, at the same time others want to preserve, revealing typical cultural values of the islanders shared with other Caribbean peoples from other islands and coastlines. These reflections and interpretations have been supported on references from researchers studying the local art as well as from renowned scholars from the Great Caribbean. | en-US |
| dc.description | A partir de que la transformación social y económica de la isla de San Andrés ha provocado cambios culturales, algunos de los cuales se reflejan en el paisaje arquitectónico, se hace una interpretación de la obra del pintor conocido como Bose-ce, plasmada muchas veces encima de fachadas de casas que han desaparecido, pero que perduran gracias al afán del artista por recuperar fragmentos de los restos de las viviendas sobre los que realiza parte de su trabajo artístico. Se aprovecha esta interpretación para reflexionar también acerca de la importancia que reflejan en la cultura isleña estas pinturas y las casas asociadas a ellas en relación a su significado como objetos y objetos de uso que retratan aspectos de la vieja cotidianidad, que va desapareciendo pero que algunos quisieran conservar, y revelan valores culturales propios de los habitantes de la isla que, a la vez, son compartidos con las gentes de otras islas y litorales del Gran Caribe. Estas reflexiones e interpretaciones van acompañadas de soportes y referencias de estudiosos del arte local y de destacados pensadores caribeñistas que dan sustento a los análisis presentados. | es-ES |
