dc.description Sharing Knowledge started as a pilot project of collaboration between the Ethnological Museum of Berlin and the National Experimental Indigenous University of Tauca (Uneit), Venezuela. The basic idea of such collaboration, inspired by critical museology, is to revitalize a part of the historical ethnographic collection by weaving new links between artifacts and so-called cultures of origin, between the present and the past, and between representatives of different institutions and countries. The text reveals the difficulties and contradictions that emerged throughout the project. Aside from all the problems one important result is the creation of a web platform for shared investigation of the ethnographic collection. Its functions are explained using a Yeꞌkwana basket as an example. In the end, it is asked if the basket apart from being an example and a metaphor serves as a heuristic category for the network of relationships that is woven with the project. en-US
