| dc.description | One of the models for mitigating the socio-environmental crisis at the regional level is the creation of social enterprises. However, it is essential to create indicators for their evaluation, strengthening and/or consolidation. The aim of this paper was to use sustainability indicators to evaluate and compare three social enterprises in Los Tuxtlas region, Veracruz within a set period. In-depth interviews were conducted with key social actors of social enterprises and the information was subjected to content analysis in order to subsequently apply the sustainability indicators. The social enterprise (SE) “Agua y Monte de Pajapan S. C. de C. V. de R. L.” obtained the best results: three sustainability indicators were maintained and the rest increased. In the Uno Caña Artesanías de Bambú Sociedad Cooperativa Tantoyuca en Acción S. C. de R. L. de C. V Social Enterprise, two indicators were maintained, two grew and two decreased. The “Naturaleza y Cultura Jomxuk S. C. de R. L. de C. V.” SE only maintained one indicator, increased one indicator and decreased the remainder . Although the method is suitable for obtaining first hand, accurate information at low cost, it is useful to undertake this type of work periodically. | dc.description | Uno de los modelos para enfrentar la crisis socioambiental a nivel regional es la creación de empresas sociales. Sin embargo, es necesario la generación de indicadores para su evaluación, fortalecimiento o consolidación. El objetivo de este trabajo es evaluar, en un periodo acotado, y comparar, a partir de indicadores de sustentabilidad, tres empresas sociales en la región de los Tuxtlas, Veracruz, México. Se aplicaron entrevistas en profundidad a actores sociales clave de las empresas sociales y la información fue sometida al análisis de contenido para posteriormente aplicar los indicadores de sustentabilidad. La empresa social (ES) “Agua y Monte de Pajapan S. C. de C. V. de R. L.” es la que mejor resultados obtuvo: tres indicadores de sustentabilidad se mantuvieron y el resto creció; en la ES “Uno Caña Artesanías de Bambú Sociedad Cooperativa Tantoyuca en Acción S. C. de R. L. de C. V.” dos indicadores se mantuvieron, dos crecieron y dos bajaron; la ES “Naturaleza y Cultura Jomxuk S. C. de R. L. de C. V.” sólo mantuvo un indicador, creció en otro y disminuyó en el resto. Si bien el método es adecuado para obtener la información de primera mano, precisa y a bajo costo, es conveniente hacer este tipo de trabajos de manera periódica. Consideramos que el método utilizado en este trabajo es apropiado para la comparación de empresas sociales que ofrecen diferentes productos o servicios. | es-ES |
