| dc.description | El trabajo aborda el movimiento de los trabajadores azucareros del ingenio San Cristóbal en Veracruz, entre 2000 y 2004, en su lucha por separarse del Sindicato de Trabajadores de la Industria Azucarera y Similares de la República Mexicana (STIASRM), perteneciente a la Confederación de Trabajadores de México (CTM) y dirigido por el ex diputado Enrique Ramos Rodríguez. Basado en información hemerográfica, el trabajo busca hacer evidente la compleja red de trámites que existen en la Secretaría del Trabajo y el complicado proceso jurídico-laboral que impide tener una justicia pronta y expedita. Este entramado proceso administrativo y laboral no se modificó con la llegada a la Presidencia de la República del Partido Acción Nacional (PAN). De manera colateral el trabajo muestra el caso dramático de los grupos empresariales azucareros que, permanentemente endeudados, han recibido creditos blandos y no han podido modernizar las fábricas de dulce. Trade Union Demands under the Government of "Change": the Sugar Workers of the San Cristobal MillThe text deals with the labour movement of sugar workers at the San Cristobal mill in Veracruz between 2000 and 2004, who sought their independence from the Union of Sugar Workers (STIASRM), a member of the Mexican Workers' Confederation (CTM), led by ex-congressman Enrique Ramos Rodriguez. Based on newspaper reports, the text seeks to show the complex web of procedures required by the Labour Ministry, and the complicated labour law process, which have put a brake on swift and effective justice. These administrative and legal processes were not modified when the National Action Party (PAN) assumed the presidency of the republic. As a sideline, the text illustrates the dramatic plight of sugar entrepreneurs who, in permanent debt, have received favourable credir terms without having achieved the modernisation of the mills. | es-ES |
