| dc.description | En este artículo se presenta una discusión teórica sobre la reciente incorporación del discurso de la biodiversidad al proceso de producci6n y consumo que involucra a la industria cosmética. El eje articulador está constituido por la teoría de la modernización ecológica. En la primera parte se sitúa el contexto y las premisas de este enfoque. En la segunda se indican lagunas y se sugiere una refinación del concepto de consumidor reflexivo y su lugar en la posmodernidad. Biodiversity, industry and cosmetic society, ecological odernization, reflexive consumer, posmodernity.In this article we present a theoretical discussion of the recent incorporation of the discourse on biodiversity into the production and consumption process in the cosmetics industry. The main thread of the argument is situated in the theory of ecological modernisation. In the first part we describe the context and premises of this approach. In the second we highlight gaps in the approach and we suggest a way to refine analysis of the concept of the reflexive consumer and its place in posmodernity. | es-ES |
