dc.description	Dentro del marco de la política de “marcha al mar” en el trópico mexicano, amplios espacios del sur del estado de Veracruz fueron integrados, a partir de los años cincuenta, a movimientos de colonización agrícola que constituyeron nuevos frentes pioneros. En este contexto, el estudio de las colonias agrícolas y ganaderas formadas en el municipio de Playa Vicente, abordado en este artículo, permite mostrar la forma en que una repartición agraria, teóricamente igualitaria (división en lotes uniformes de 50 hectáreas), esconde el desigual juego de fuerzas de apropiación de la tierra que ocurre desde esos años. Posteriormente, el cambio constitucional de 1992 contribuiría a evidenciar la competencia entre grandes propietarios y pequeños o medianos colonos, éstos últimos puestos al margen de un sistema dominante que tiende a reforzar las actividades ganaderas. Change on the Frontier: the Land Market and Cattle Ranching on the Agricultural Colonies of Playa Vicente, VeraruzSince the 1950s, the policy known as the “march to the sea” incorporated extensive portions of the south of Veracruz State within the scheme of agricultural colonies, thus opening up pioneering spaces. In this context, the study of the agricultural cattle colonies formed in the municipality of Playa Vicente shows the way in which a theoretically equal agrarian distribution (division in uniform lots of 50 hectares), hides the forces at work towards an unequal appropriation of land during the period of agrarian reform. Subsequently, the constitutional change of 1992 contributed to show the competition between large and small owners or medium colonists, the latter situated on the edge of the dominant system which tends to reinforce cattle activities over agriculture.	es-ES
