| dc.description | Este artículo presenta los adelantos de una investigación epistémica y teórica que busca destacar la crucial importancia de los conceptos de espacio y tiempo. Analiza la influencia de ambos tratándolos como categorías imprescindibles para la construcción de las ciencias sociales. Adelanta apreciaciones para elaboraciones posteriores que puedan tender puentes para intercambios provechosos con interesados en la expresión regional de los fenómenos sociales, su territorialización y las formas de comprensión historiográfica de los problemas geoespaciales de la modernización. La espaciotemporalidad de los fenómenos sociohistóricos mantiene expresiones territoriales diversas y cambiantes a velocidades que parecen desafiar los intentos por aprehenderlos. Por eso se acude a la ejemplificación de algunas de sus expresiones como recurso que permite probar posibilidades de construcción distintas a las que nos ofrecen las corrientes principales de las ciencias sociales contemporáneas.The Time/Space Complex: A Major Problem for Social ScienceThis article presents some results of epistemic and theoretical research in process on the crucial importance of the concepts of space and time. It approaches both terms in an attempt to deal with them as front line categories for the construction of the social sciences. The text sets out a series of insights which may later serve as linkages for purposeful exchange between those interested in the regional manifestations of social phenomena, their terrorialisation and the ways in which historiography understands the geo-social problems inherent to modernisation. Space and time in socio-historical phenomena are expressed in distinct territorial ways and at variable speeds, to the extent that we face a challenge to our understanding. In order to approach this kind of problem, the text lays out several examples of those manifestations as a means to explore the possibility for an alternative construction to those which are posited by the principal trends in contemporary social science. | es-ES |
