dc.description	A través del estudio y análisis del ritual agrícola xochitlalli, y de algunos relatos en los cuales se hace alusión a los cerros, los objetos y entidades que se cree en ellos habitan, se pretende conocer la importancia del proceso ritual para propiciar buena cosecha a través de la ofrenda dedicada a los señores del Tlalocan. Asimismo se destaca la importancia de los cerros en la cosmovisión contemporánea de algunos habitantes de las comunidades nahuas de Atlahuilco y Tequila, Veracruz. Los relatos que ellos nos brindan, evidencian la riqueza que hay en los cerros, pero también la cautela y respeto que se debe tener hacia estas formaciones orográficas y sus dueños. El presente trabajo presenta un enfoque etnohistórico y antropológico comparativo que sirvió para contrastar y dar mayor sustento analítico a los datos etnográficos obtenidos en campo. Ritual and Traditional Tales as Two Ways of Understanding the Lords of Tlalocan and the Owners of the MountainsThrough the study and analysis of the agricultural ritual xochitlalli, and several traditional tales, which comment on the mountains, the objects and entities that are thought live in them, I illustrate the importance of the ritual process to pro- pitiate a good harvest through the offering dedicated for the lords of Tlalocan. Also I note the importance of the mountains in the contemporary world view of some nahua inhabitants of Atlahuilco and Tequila, Veracruz. The tales that these people provided, demonstrate the wealth of the mountains, and also show the caution and respect that those topographic formations and their owners inspire in the people. This research has an ethno-historical and comparative anthropologi- cal approach, which offers the possibility to make contrasts and provide a wider analysis of the ethnographic data obtained through fieldwork.	es-ES
