| dc.description | La guerra desatada después de la promulgación de la Constitución de 1857 produjo severos daños en la infraestructura urbana y el tejido social de Guadalajara. El presente trabajo tiene el objetivo de reconocer el uso de la imagen durante el periodo de la Guerra de Reforma a partir del análisis iconológico de una fotografía, tres pinturas y la decoración mural de la bóveda del Teatro Degollado. Todos los testimonios visuales han sido localizados en Guadalajara y fueron realizados entre 1859 y 1864. Los cuadros de batallas, una escena de la vida cotidiana y la representación del Canto IV de la Divina Comedia, son respuestas artísticas que nos permiten indagar sobre conflictos y motivaciones en el proceso de conformación nacional y el uso del arte como un medio pedagógico para cumplir con ese objetivo.Diorama of Virtues and Discord. Artistic Answers to the War of Reform in GuadalajaraAfter the war of declaration of the Mexican Constitution in 1857, several damages were produced on the urban infrastructure and the social composition of Guadalajara. The following paper shows how image was used along the period of Reform War. The analysis will be based on a photograph, three paintings and a mural of the Degollado’s vault Theater. All these graphic compositions have been located in Guadalajara city and they were made between 1859 and 1864. The pictures of battles, scenes of the daily life and the picture of Canto IV of the DivineComedy are artistic expressions which make us able to understand conflicts and their causes in the process of national integration; as well art can be seen as a way of pedagogical understanding. | es-ES |
