dc.description	The Colombian Magdalena Medio region is one of the most affected territories by the political and social control exercised by the Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (FARC), especially in the municipalities located in the periphery, which are in areas of difficult access and with poor state presence. In this sense, this document contrasts political participation during the endorsement of the Peace Agreement with the 2018 Senate elections—in which the FARC participated for the first time as a political party. An analysis of the political configuration before and after the implementation of the agreements is conducted, as its incidence in the Magdalena Medio region is analyzed in comparison with the rest of the country.	en-US
dc.description	La región del Magdalena Medio colombiano es uno de los territorios mayormente afectados por el control político y social que ejercieron las Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionarias de Colombia (Farc), en especial en los municipios ubicados en la periferia, caracterizados por estar en zonas de difícil acceso y con poca presencia estatal. En este sentido, en este documento se contrasta el comportamiento político durante la refrendación de los Acuerdos de Paz con las elecciones al Senado de la República de 2018 –en las que las Farc por primera vez participaron como partido político–. Esto con el fin de analizar la configuración política antes y después de la implementación de los acuerdos, así como su incidencia en la región del Magdalena Medio, en comparación con el resto del país.	es-ES
