| dc.description | The approaches that study research collaboration dynamics with a binary: “North - South” and “Center - Periphery” tend not to recognize the arbitrariness of the international scientific system and those analyzes reduce the impact of how research groups from the Global South actually perform research collaborations. Our work aims to respond and discuss: With whom do researchers in International Relations (RI) of Mercosur collaborate? What are the objectives of these associations? Are agendas imposed from the North? What are the main motivations and interests of the agents for scientific collaboration? For this, we recover contributions from the field of social studies of science and propose an exploratory analysis of a multiple case study of Mercosur research groups focused on the researcher’s point of view in order to revisit the agents’ perspective. The work will have two dimensions: an analysis based on bibliometric information of the productions of local researchers in SCOPUS and WOS and another that inquires about the process of meaningfulness of these groups regarding the questions raised through interviews and focus groups to research groups of the field of International Relations of Mercosur | en-US |
| dc.description | Los enfoques que analizan las dinámicas de colaboración de investigación científica de corte binario: “Norte-Sur” y “Centro-Periferia” tienden a no reconocer la arbitrariedad del sistema científico internacional y matizan en sus análisis el impacto de cómo los grupos de investigación e investigadores del Sur global tienden a colaborar. Nuestro trabajo se propone responder y discutir: ¿Con quién colaboran los investigadores en relaciones internacionales (RI) del Mercosur? ¿Cuáles son los objetivos de esas asociaciones? ¿Se imponen agendas desde el Norte? ¿Cuáles son las principales motivaciones e intereses de los agentes para la colaboración científica? Para esto, recuperamos aportes del campo de los estudios sociales de la ciencia y proponemos un análisis exploratorio de estudio de caso múltiple de grupos de investigación del Mercosur centrado en el punto de vista del investigador con el fin de revisitar la perspectiva de los agentes. El trabajo tendrá dos dimensiones: un análisis basado en información bibliométrica de las producciones de investigadores locales en Scopus y WOS y otra que indaga sobre el proceso de producción de sentido de estos grupos respecto de los interrogantes planteados mediante entrevistas y grupos focales a grupos de investigación del campo de las relaciones internacionales del Mercosur. | es-ES |
