| dc.description | The efforts of the international community in providing a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict are still colliding with the demonstrations of force of the Government of Israel and its insistence on bilateral negotiation. Here it is argued that the understanding of the problem merits a review of the geopolitical game in Western Asia, where the major powers set up alliances and unleashed wars in their own interest. Since the United State-Israel Alliance remains unshakable in the region, the will of the international community to commit the United States to an end to confrontation through the multilateral recognition of the Palestinian State should be maintained without hesitation, since the alternative of a bilateral agreement with Israel does not offer more to Palestine than surrender. | en-US |
| dc.description | Los esfuerzos de la comunidad internacional por darle solución al conflicto israelí-palestino siguen chocando contra las medidas de fuerza del Gobierno de Israel y su insistencia en la negociación bilateral. Aquí se argumenta que la comprensión cabal del problema amerita la revisión del juego geopolítico en Asia occidental, donde los grandes poderes configuran alianzas y desatan guerras en pro de sus intereses. Siendo allí la alianza israelíestadounidense persistente, las gestiones de la comunidad internacional para comprometer a Estados Unidos en la salida del enfrentamiento mediante el reconocimiento multilateral del Estado palestino han de mantenerse sin vacilación, puesto que la alternativa del acuerdo bilateral con Israel no le ofrece a Palestina más que su rendición. | es-ES |
