Descripción :	O texto analisa a trajetória de Alexander von Humboldt com o intuito de investigar as contribuições da Geografia na formação do pensamento antropológico no século XIX. Busca-se enfocar, por um lado, as temáticas abordadas por Humboldt e por Franz Boas em seus universos de estudo. Por outro lado, mais detidamente, procura-se apontar as possíveis influências das formulações teóricas e dos procedimentos metodológicos de Humboldt nos trabalhos antropológicos de Boas. This text analizes Alexander von Humboldt‘s trajectory with the intention of investigate the contributions of Geography referring to the formation of the anthropologist thinking during the nineteenth century. The intentions are to focus on one hand to the thematics approached by Humboldt and Franz Boas in their studies universes. On the other hand more detainedly, possible influences for those theorical formulations as well as Humboldt‘s methodological procedures in Boas‘s anthropological works are tried to be pointed out.
