Descripción :	Metástasis musical es el resultado final de una investigación sobre el desarrollo histórico del formato instrumental big band, el cual se llevará a cabo en una presentación abierta a todo público como equivalente al concierto de grado, donde se apreciarán composiciones y arreglos con sonoridades de corte clásico y moderno. Respecto al termino Metástasis, es una teoría científica que supone la propagación de un foco canceroso a un órgano distinto de aquel en que se inició; parafraseando lo que sucede médicamente, aquí nos referiremos a la expansión de este formato de orquesta desde Estados Unidos hasta el Caribe, Latinoamérica y Europa. El formato con el cual se llevó a cabo este proyecto es de: 2 saxofones altos, 2 saxofones tenores, saxofón barítono, 4 trompetas, 4 trombones, guitarra eléctrica, bajo, piano y percusión. Se adicionan la flauta y el saxofón soprano como instrumentos que permitirán: la ampliación del rango en la familia de las maderas, cambios de color y la posibilidad de amalgamarse con otros instrumentos. 1. The format with which this project was carried out is: 2 alto saxophones, 2 tenor saxophones, baritone saxophone, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, electric guitar, bass, piano and percussion. The flute and the soprano saxophone are added as instruments that will allow: the expansion of the range in the wood family, color changes and the possibility of amalgamation with other instruments.
