Descripción :	This article deals with the discursive representations of the officials of the Judicial Power of the AMBA (Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires) in relation to citizenship and access to rights of South American migrants. Researching the officials’ point of view implies a way of approaching the understanding of intercultural relations. These are a type of social bond shaped by asymmetries and antagonisms that have run through the history of the Argentine Republic since its constitution as a nation state. In this paper, we focus on the groups of South American migrants, whose relevance was initially noticed in the sixties. The research adopted a qualitative approach and the technique used was the in-depth, individual and semi-structured interview. The data produced was processed and analyzed according to the pillars of the Grounded Theory. The working hypothesis holds that officials’ speeches are organized according to a set of moral and hegemonic codes that encourage social domination over the South American migrant collectives. El presente artículo aborda las representaciones sociales de los funcionarios del Poder Judicial del AMBA (Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires) respecto de los migrantes sudamericanos en relación a la ciudadanía y el acceso a derechos por parte de los sujetos migrantes. El investigar las representaciones sociales de los funcionarios representa un modo de aproximarse a la comprensión de las relaciones interculturales. Las mismas, son un tipo de relación social configurada por asimetrías y antagonismos que han atravesado la historia de la República Argentina desde su constitución como Estado nación. En este escrito nos centramos en los colectivos migratorios sudamericanos cuya relevancia comienza a hacerse notar a partir de la década de 1960. La investigación posee un  enfoque cualitativo y la técnica de investigación es la entrevista en profundidad, individual y semi-estructurada. Los datos producidos fueron procesados y analizados de acuerdo a los pilares de la Teoría Fundamentada. La hipótesis de trabajo sostiene que las representaciones de los funcionarios se organizan de acuerdo a un conjunto de códigos morales y hegemónicos que favorecen la dominación social sobre los colectivos migratorios sudamericanos.
