Descripción :	n this text, I outline an approach that sustains that the theories of the imaginary, the social representations, the worldview, the ideology, the aesthetics, among others, always refer to the production of the social sense, conceiving the human being as a subject who gives meaning to the world and in doing so he builds himself. Within the framework of this approach, the author argues that social representations are a social form of the imaginary; therefore, the problems they encompassed must be studied in constant interaction with each other En este texto se expone, brevemente, un enfoque que sostiene que las teorías de lo imaginario, las representaciones sociales, la cosmovisión, la ideología, la estética, entre otras, refieren siempre a la producción del sentido de lo social concibiendo al ser humano como un sujeto que otorga sentido al mundo y al hacerlo se hace a sí mismo. En esta dirección, el autor sostiene que las representaciones sociales son una forma social de lo imaginario, por lo que los problemas que ellos abarcan se los debe estudiar en interacción mutua constante.
