dc.descriptionIn this work I want to propose the existence of contemporary myths within the lyric of the song and that this lyric can be analyzed, not as object of recreation, but as cultural productions. Following the model of the social representations, we can analyze the meaning of the lyrics for the people and reflect if these lyrics can arouse diverse effects in the public. I write this on the premise that a lot of the current songs have an emotional content that is either implicitly or explicitly violent and the question that guides this reflection can be written as: is there something that links the songs with the behavior of the subjects? This is organized in four parts. The text con- sists of four parts. I will begin by describing the important role that social representations play in the knowledge of what I have called the affective dimension (Calderón, 2012). Secondly, I will describe what I understand as contemporary myths. Thirdly, I will explore some meaningful qualities of the violence phenomenon. Finally, based on a case study, interviews and ethnographic work, I will present an outline of the social representations of the lyrics of a song in order to reveal what can be called as contemporary mythical imaginary.en-US
dc.descriptionEn el presente trabajo deseo proponer la existencia de mitos contemporáneos, un ejemplo se puede ubicar en la letra de una canción; ésta puede ser analizada, no sólo como objeto de esparcimiento, sino como una producción cultural y como tal inmersa en el imaginario social. Siguiendo el modelo de las representaciones sociales podemos analizar lo que significa el contenido de la letra y reflexionar si ella es capaz de despertar diversos efectos en el imaginario de los sujetos que las escuchan. Parto de la premisa de que en la actualidad muchas de las canciones concentran un contenido emocional implícita o explícitamente violento. La pregunta que guía esta reflexión puede formularse de la siguiente manera ¿existe algo que vincule las canciones con el comportamiento individual de los sujetos y con sus prácticas sociales?  El texto consta de cuatro partes. Iniciaré describiendo el importante lugar que ocupan las representaciones sociales en el conocimiento de lo que he denominado dimensión afectiva (Calderón, 2012). En segundo lugar, describiré lo que entiendo como mitos contemporáneos. En tercer lugar, exploraré algunas cualidades significativas del fenómeno de la violencia. Finalmente, apoyada en un estudio de caso, entrevistas y trabajo etnográfico, presentaré un esbozo de las representaciones sociales de la letra de una canción con el fin de develar lo que puedo denominar como imaginario mítico contemporáneo.es-ES
