Descripción :	Time is an abstract concept that requires images in order to be thought. Mental images are formed from a net of meanings, which includes metaphors, textual and visual discourses. Throughout history, different cultures have conceptualized time with different features. In this work are analyzed the meanings about time from and in relationship with photographs, between the midnineteenth-century and the beginning of the twentieth century. El tiempo es un concepto abstracto que requiere imágenes para concebirse. Las imágenes mentales se forman a partir de entramados de sentidos, que incluyen metáforas, discursos textuales y también visuales. Diversas culturas, a lo largo de la historia, han conceptualizado el tiempo con características diferentes. En este trabajo se analizan significados acerca del tiempo a partir y en relación con fotografías, entre mediados del siglo XIX y principios del XX.
