Descripción :	El presente artículo aborda la forma en que la novela cubana de los años sesenta del siglo xx reflejó el ideal social de la Revolución cubana. Comienza por describir el ambiente ideológico y cultural de la época, el conflicto entre libertad de creación y compromiso político en que se vieron sumidos los creadores cubanos. Se realiza un análisis narratológico de las novelas de estos años: los temas generales, el tiempo y el espacio, los personajes. Se hace énfasis en el contenido ideológico de aquellas, puesto en función de educar a las masas en el nuevo ideal revolucionario. Se concluye que el rasgo más marcado de dicha noveslística es, precisamente, su función ideológica.  This article addresses the way in which the Cuban novel of the sixties of the 20th century reflected the social ideal of the Cuban Revolution. It begins by describing the ideological and cultural environment of these years, the conflict between freedom of creation and political commitment in which the Cuban creators of the decade found themselves immersed. A narratological analysis of the novels of these years is carried out: the general themes, time and space, the characters. Emphasis is placed on the ideological content of these novels, aimed at educating the masses in the new revolutionary ideal. It is concluded that the most marked feature of said novels is, precisely, its ideological function.
