Descripción :	Esta pesquisa, materializada no campo da história da educação, procurou realizar uma leitura da realidade das práticas de lazer no Colégio Americano Batista entre as décadas de 60 e 90 do século XX. Leitura balizada pelo diálogo multireferencial entre diferentes áreas do conhecimento como o lazer e a religião, onde foram estabelecidas relações entre alguns atores da pesquisa que vivenciaram o CAB nesse período histórico e as adesões teóricas aqui firmadas, sempre norteadas pelo viés elisiano. Tecemos as análises a partir da hipótese de que, em nome da religião, havia certa predileção por práticas de lazer em detrimento a outras que destoavam das normas vigentes e, consequentemente figuravam uma tensa relação de controles e permissividades das emoções dos alunos. Como problema de pesquisa, elegemos: como a educação para e pelo o lazer, permeada pelos dispositivos de controle das emoções, foi configurada no Colégio Americano Batista entre os anos de 1960 e 1990? Por conseguinte, o objetivo do trabalho é analisar a educação para e pelo lazer, permeada pelos dispositivos de controle das emoções no Colégio Americano Batista entre anos de 1960 a 1990. E para dar suporte à concretização deste objetivo, erigimos os objetivos específicos: 1) Compreender a relação entre o lazer e a educação, analisando como se fomentou o processo civilizatório de práticas de lazer, no marco temporal escolhido; 2) Refletir sobre os processos educacionais que favorecem o controle das emoções desenvolvidos no interior do Colégio Americano Batista a partir dos referenciais evangélicos de educação e lazer. Para ser possível selecionarmos e analisarmos as fontes, utilizamos a metodologia da história oral em diálogos com as diversas fontes encontradas ao longo das incursões no campo investigativo. Ao final, tem-se uma obra de doutorado com relevância e coerência educacional que evidencia, à luz da teoria elisiana, o processo civilizatório pelo qual a educação para e pelo lazer foi forjada a partir da teia relacional sempre dinâmica e figurada por valências em constante transformação. This research, conducted in the field of history of education, tried to perform a reading of the reality of leisure practices in American Baptist College between the 60s and 90s of the twentieth century. Reading buoyed by multi-reference between different areas of knowledge such as leisure and religion, where relationships between some of the research actors who experienced the CAB were established in this historical period and theoretical accessions signed here, always guided by elisiano bias. We made the analysis on the assumption that, in the name of religion, there was a certain preference for leisure practices to the detriment of others who clashed with the prevailing norms and consequently appeared a tense relationship of controls and permittivities of students' emotions. As research problem, we elected: how education and at leisure, permeated by the control of emotions devices was configured in American Baptist College between the years 1960 and 1990? Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the education and the leisure, permeated by the control of emotions devices in American Baptist College between years 1960-1990. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the education and the leisure, permeated by the control devices of emotions in American Baptist College between 1960 and 1990. And to support the achievement of this goal, specific objectives were erected: 1) to understand the relationship between leisure and education, analyzing how it has fostered the civilizing process leisure practices, the timeframe chosen; 2) to reflect on educational processes that favor the control of emotions developed within the American Baptist College from evangelical benchmarks for education and leisure. To be possible we select and analyze the sources, we used the methodology of oral history dialogues with the various sources found along the raids in the investigative field. At the end, there is a work of doctoral education with relevance and coherence, that evidences based on the Elisiana theory, the civilizing process by which education and the pleasure was forged from the always dynamic and figurative relational web by constantly valences transformation.
