Descripción :	One can consider that the literary adaptation to the cinema starts from the concept of intertextuality. Intertextual theory proposes that all discourse is intertwined with other discourses and, in this sense, adaptation presents itself as a great network of intertwined discourses, an aim that the present article intends to demonstrate through a comparative study between the book and the movie adaptation of Tightrope. In addition, the work and the movie bring the representation of childhood in an emancipatory way. In order to achieve this, at first, some theoretical questions will be discussed to support this study, and then a critical analysis of the film Maria’s Tightrope, produced in 2012 by Eduardo Goldenstein, an adaptation of the book Tightrope, by Lygia Bojunga (1979) will be presented. It has been verified that the movie functions as hypertext, with links that impel the reader-spectator to traverse a true rhizomatic map and give meaning to the text, according to their perceptual universe. Pode-se considerar que a adaptação literária para o cinema parte do conceito de intertextualidade. A teoria intertextual propõe que todo discurso está interligado com outros discursos e, nesse sentido, a adaptação apresenta-se como uma grande rede de discursos entrelaçados, objetivo que o presente artigo pretende demonstrar por meio de um estudo comparativo entre a obra e a adaptação ao filme de Corda bamba. Além disso, a obra e o filme trazem a representação da infância de modo emancipatório. Para alcançar esse intuito, primeiramente, serão trazidas para discussão algumas questões teóricas que irão fundamentar este estudo e, em seguida, será apresentada uma análise crítica do filme Corda bamba – história de uma menina equilibrista, produzido em 2012, pelo diretor Eduardo Goldenstein, uma adaptação do livro Corda bamba, de Lygia Bojunga (1979). Verifica-se que o filme funciona como um hipertexto, com links que impulsionam o leitor-espectador a percorrer um verdadeiro mapa rizomático e atribuir sentido ao texto de acordo com seu universo perceptivo.
