dc.descriptionThe paper discusses some problems manifest in the process of the translation of the humoristic effect, considered here as an important component of the effect of the literary text. The presence of the body, the poetic function, the relevance of the differences between cultural contexts and the importance of the emotive function transform the humor in a serious challenge for the translator. The failure to successfully transpose the humoristic effect of a literary text leads to serious modifications of its esthetic aims and intensity.en-US
dc.descriptionO artigo discute os problemas envolvidos na tradução do efeito humorístico, que é aqui considerado como um importante componente do efeito estético de um texto literário. A presença do corpo, a função poética, o contexto cultural e, finalmente, uma manifestação particularmente forte da função emotiva, participantes da produção do efeito humorístico, transformam-no em um sério desafio para o tradutor. As falhas na transposição do efeito humorístico levam a sérias modificações do alcance estético de um texto literário.pt-BR
