| Descripción : | Este trabajo de tesis tiene un tema central: la impotencia del hombre ante situaciones fuera de su control. Este tema se manifiesta a través de tres relatos escritos asociados a tres subgéneros literarios diferentes. El primero es literatura fantástica, el segundo es ciencia ficción y el tercero es una historia de terror sobrenatural. Estos cuentos comparten un mismo protagonista, cada uno de ellos ubicados en sus propios universos contenidos en los que la situación específica fuera de control se asocia de una forma u otra con las características de estos géneros particulares. Los textos van acompañados de una reflexión sobre las estructuras narrativas propuestas por Joseph Campbell, así como de una discusión sobre la influencia de J. R. R Tolkien, Isaac Asimov y J. P. Lovecraft. Es a través de la creación de estas obras literarias y de un profundo análisis de la teoría textual que las sustenta, que esta tesis aporta una reflexión sobre el arquetipo del héroe y propone un nuevo modelo más cercano al caos incierto e injusto de la realidad en la que vive el hombre: un héroe incompleto e imperfecto que no logra cumplir su camino espiritual. This thesis work has one central theme: the impotence of man in situations beyond his control. This theme manifests itself through three written stories associated with three different literary subgenres. The first is fantasy literature, the second is science fiction, and the third is a supernatural horror story. These stories share the same protagonist, each of them located in their own contained universes in which the specific situation beyond control is associated in one way or another with the characteristics of these particular genres. The texts are accompanied by a reflection on the narrative structures proposed by Joseph Campbell, as well as a discussion on the influence of J. R. R Tolkien, Isaac Asimov and J. P. Lovecraft. It is through the creation of these literary works and of a deep analysis of the textual theory behind them, that this thesis provides a reflection on the archetype of the hero and proposes a new model closer to the uncertain and unjust chaos of the reality in which man lives: an incomplete and imperfect hero that fails to fulfill his spirtitual journey.
