Descripción :	Isla Fuerte está ubicado en la costa atlántica colombiana, jurisdicción del Municipio de Cartagena - Distrito Turístico y Cultural, Departamento de Bolívar. Las inmensas bondades que ofrece Isla Fuerte en cuanto a biodiversidad son innegables atractivos turísticos, es por esto que el turismo es una de las principales fuentes de economía de la Isla. Es precisamente este fenómeno turístico el cual nos ocupa el presente trabajo. Actualmente, la mala práctica en el turismo de sol y playa, el turismo de aventura y el llamado turismo de naturaleza como usualmente se ha venido ejerciendo en este lugar, no conserva ni preserva los ecosistemas, por el contrario, los destruye y afecta la identidad cultural del territorio donde se presta el servicio turístico, entre otros impactos. He ahí la gran posibilidad de implementar el concepto de turismo regenerativo, el cual tiene en su enfoque, no solo la preservación sino el mejoramiento tanto de los procesos como de los ecosistemas de los que se hace uso a partir del estudio de las relaciones desde las perspectivas de Hombre-Hombre, Hombre-Espiritualidad y Hombre-Naturaleza (Entorno). Este trabajo buscó identificar desde la comunidadlocal las acciones necesarias para lograr la transición hacia una nueva forma de hacer turismo. La implementación de herramientas metodológicas mixtas permitió dar respuesta a los objetivos planteados encontrando así: las organizaciones locales existentes que puedentener incidencia en los procesos turísticos, las actividades que soportan económicamente el turismo de la isla actualmente, las fallas que tienen la comunidad prestadora de servicios turísticos y los turistas en el ejercicio, y finalmente, las actividades de tipo regenerativo que son ejecutables y pueden ayudar en la transición al turismo regenerativo, además de otros datos turísticos pertinentes. Isla Fuerte Isla Fuerte is located in the Colombian Atlantic Coast within the jurisdiction of the Cartagena Municipality – Department of Bolivar’s Touristic and Cultural District. The immense and undeniable biodiversity that Isla Fuerte offers is an exceptional touristic attraction making tourism one of the main sources of its economy. It is precisely this phenomenon the main concern of the instant study. Nowdays the sun & beach tourism, the adventure tourism and the renowned nature tourism as has usually been done on the territory, does not contribute the conservation and preservation of ecosystems. On the contrary, it destroys the ecosystems and affects the cultural identity of the territory where the tourist service is provided, among other impacts. Here is the possibility to introduce the concept of regenerative tourism which petrends to preserve and improve touristic proccess and the ecosystems from study of the Man-Man, Man-Spirituality and Man-Nature (Environment) relationships. This research work studied from the local community’s perspective the required actions to achieve the transition towards a new way of doing tourism. The implementation of the proposed mixed methodology respond to the objetives resulted in the following: the configuration of existing local organizations that may have an impact on tourism; the various activities that economically support tourism on the island; the failures from both the local community that provides touristic services and tourists; feasible regenerative activities that aid the transition to regenerative tourism, in addition to other relevant tourism data.
