dc.descriptionThe research problem was focused on making an analysis of three magnitudes from the measurement system: length, mass, and time, used in the artisanal practice of the elaboration of the clean bun in the municipality of Galapa, Atlantico, Colombia. The general objective was to identify how length, mass and time magnitudes are used in the elaboration of the buns. The used methodology was the qualitative type from an ethnographic perspective based on the participant observation; The data was collected through semi structured interviews, a field diary, and audiovisual registries with their transcriptions. The investigation is based in the Ethnomathematics Program. As a result, it was evidenced that the artisans used several techniques in this process of the clean bun, besides the usage of conventional and unconventional measures involving length, mass and time magnitudes. Some units, such as the pound, the ounce, the minute, the hour, as well as other unconventional measures, were witnessed here. The discussion posits that the magnitudes found in the elaboration of the clean bun could be pertinent for mathematics education leading to students strengthening their metric thinking and giving the concept of measurement a social, cultural and human understanding. Regarding the mathematics teacher, the results could be used for the design of activities that allow the student to seek their cultural and historical roots and understand mathematics as a cultural product.en-US
dc.descriptionEl problema de investigación se enfocó en hacer un análisis de tres magnitudes del sistema de medidas: longitud, masa y tiempo, utilizadas en la práctica artesanal de la elaboración del bollo limpio en el municipio de Galapa, Atlántico, Colombia. El objetivo general fue identificar cómo estas magnitudes se emplean en la elaboración de los bollos. La metodología utilizada es de tipo cualitativo desde una perspectiva etnográfica basada en la observación participante; la información se recolectó mediante entrevistas semiestructuradas, diario de campo y registros audiovisuales con sus transcripciones. La investigación está fundamentada en el Programa Etnomatemática. Como resultado, se evidenció que las artesanas emplearon varias técnicas en este proceso de elaboración del bollo, además de un uso de medidas convencionales y no convencionales, involucrando magnitudes de longitud, masa y tiempo. La discusión plantea que las magnitudes encontradas podrían ser pertinentes para la Educación Matemática, permitiendo que los alumnos fortalezcan su pensamiento métrico. Con respecto al profesor de matemáticas, los resultados podrían ser utilizados para el diseño de actividades que permitan al alumno buscar sus raíces culturales e históricas y comprender las matemáticas como un producto cultural. es-ES
