Descripción :	The main objective of this work is to collect the alternative conceptions presented by fourthyear engineering students about angular momentum. For this, a diagnostic instrument is designed, in the form of a multiple-choice test, which allows extracting the pre-existing alternative conceptions in the students. Then, a pedagogical tool is designed and implemented to support the learning process, with the aim of reducing alternative conceptions. The new tool developed is the implementation of the concept of guided work plus the use of computer and video tools. The results showed that the main alternative conceptions found were angular momentum only exists if there is rotational motion and angular momentum depends on kinetic energy. When applying the intervention, the percentage of students who had alternative conceptions decreased by around 11% and the students’ ability to quantify the phenomenon of angular momentum increased by 30%. El objetivo principal de este trabajo es recopilar las concepciones alternativas que presentan los estudiantes de cuarto año de Ingeniería sobre el momento angular. Para esto, se diseña un instrumento diagnóstico, en forma de prueba de opción múltiple, que permite extraer las concepciones alternativas prexistente en los estudiantes. Luego se diseña e implementa una herramienta pedagógica, para apoyar el proceso de aprendizaje, con el objetivo de disminuir las concepciones alternativas. La herramienta desarrollada tiene como novedad la implementación del concepto de trabajo guiado más el uso de herramientas computacionales y video. Los resultados mostraron que las principales concepciones alternativas encontradas fueron: el momento angular solo existe si existe un movimiento rotacional y el momento angular depende de la energía cinética. Al aplicar la intervención, el porcentaje de estudiantes que tenían concepciones alternativas disminuyó en torno a un 11% y se elevó la capacidad de cuantificar el fenómeno de momento angular por parte de los estudiantes en un 30%.
