Descripción :	The article presents the results of the bibliometric analysis on victimization inviolence, based on the publications registered in the PsychINFO database between1974 and 2015. The research was carried out parting from the review ofkeywords, filtered by the term ‘violence’ and later by the term ‘victimization’,with the aim of showing researchers and those who approach the topic ofvictimization, which are the trends in scientific publications regarding thisconstruct; as well as with the aim of guiding the theoretical revisions and thedefinition of study objectives. The study of victimization, focused on adultpopulation, shows an increasing tendency in the last years, with a significant peakfrom the year 2000 and with a peak in the year 1989, object of later analyzes.These studies are more commonly carried out with mixed population (men andwomen), and most of them take place in English-speaking countries such as theUnited States, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. El artículo presenta los resultados del análisis bibliométrico sobre victimización en la violencia, a partir de las publicaciones registradas en la base de datos PsycINFO entre los años 1974 y 2015. El objetivo principal ha sido consolidar un mapa de las tendencias en publicaciones científicas frente al tema de la victimización, que permita orientar las revisiones teóricas e identificar temas de investigación emergentes y futuros. La investigación se realizó a partir de los resultados filtrados con las palabras clave ‘violencia’ y ‘victimización’. Fue posible notar que, en su mayoría, los estudios se han realizado con población mixta (hombres y mujeres) y se han llevado a cabo en mayor proporción en países como Estados Unidos, Reino Unido y Países Bajos. Se concluye que el estudio de la victimización, enfocado en la población adulta, presenta una tendencia en aumento en los últimos años, con un punto significativo a partir del año 2000 y con un pico, el cual ha sido objeto de análisis, en el año 1989
