Descripción :	This article presents a reflection on the metaphors that catastrophic diseases represent in the lives of girls, boys and young people. This document shows the strong relationship t between the experience of the disease and the language of war to which the person living with catastrophic diseases, such as cancer and HIV/AIDS, is exposed. The reflection focuses on the ways in which some theoretical, investigative, medical and literary perspectives, in terms of coping and resilience, place the subject who experiences these diseases as a warrior who must fight against the affectations of the disease, to finally assign him a role of winner or loser of a battle that they must face. In addition, there are some reflections on the ways in which creativity is driven by the disease, in the desire of the subjects to express their emotions through creativity and to do a resignification of their life project from a creative reading of the present,transcending future dreams and the experience of illness. En este artículo se presenta una reflexión sobre las metáforas que representan las enfermedades catastróficas en la vida de los niños, las niñas y jóvenes. En este documento se evidencia la fuerte relación que existe entre la vivencia de la enfermedad y el lenguaje de guerra al cual se expone la persona que vive con enfermedades catastróficas, tales como, el cáncer y el VIH/SIDA. La reflexión se centra en las maneras en que algunas perspectivas teóricas, investigativas, médicas y de la literatura ubican al sujeto que vive estos padecimientos como un guerrero que debe luchar contra las afectaciones de la enfermedad, para finalmente asignarle un rol de ganador o perdedor de una batalla que debe enfrentar. Además, se presentan algunas reflexiones sobre las formas en que la creatividad se ve impulsada por la enfermedad; en el deseo de los sujetos por manifestar sus emociones desde lo creativo y hacer una resignificación de su proyecto de vida a partir de esta lectura del presente, trascendiendo los sueños futuros y la vivencia de la condición.
