Descripción :	El proyecto pretende encontrar vínculos (esencialmente africanismos ) e indagar elementos esenciales en estas músicas ubicadas en diferentes áreas geográficas. Específicamente se trata de la región del Pacífico Sur colombiano y la isla de Cuba. Posteriormente se plasmarán en arreglos y composiciones los resultados encontrados en el proceso de exploración investigativa. El formato escogido está constituido por voces (solista y coro), guitarra eléctrica, marimba, instrumentos de percusión afrocubana y del Pacífico colombiano, así como instrumentos de percusión de otra procedencia y aerófonos como ocarinas y gaita. Se busca que cumplan la doble función de: tomar citas literales de estas músicas y acentuar elementos encontrados en la indagación, que sirvan como bases y pretextos para experimentar con los instrumentos ajenos a estas músicas que se usarán en las composiciones y arreglos. Teniendo en cuenta que la improvisación es un elemento inherente a las músicas a tratar, cuando se usa, se justifica con base en el proceso previo a la etapa compositiva. Estas consideraciones respecto al formato y la improvisación, así como la etapa de exploración investigativa previa a componer, se deben al propósito de no incluir elementos y procedimientos compositivos exógenos a las músicas que conciernen al presente trabajo, aparte de la instrumentación anteriormente mencionada. La música está seleccionada de acuerdo a criterios históricos específicos, ya que son músicas con poca influencia extraña al legado africano. These considerations regarding the format and improvisation, as well as the investigative exploration stage prior to composing, are due to the purpose of not including elements and compositional procedures exogenous to the music that concerns the present work, apart from the instrumentation mentioned above. The music is selected according to specific historical criteria, since it is music with little foreign influence to the African heritage.
