Descripción :	The author tries to explain some of the activities that were developed from the Office of the Matiguás Archaeological Project, based in the municipality of the same name in the department of Matagalpa, in the north of Nicaragua, during his functions as representative and executive of said offi ce. Some actions developed during a year (2018 -2019) are presented, highlighting those that have been appropriated by the inhabitants of the towns of Tierra Blanca in the Quirragua region (rural) and the city of Matiguás (urban). The project has been developed since 2012 at the Las Vegas archaeological site, in the town of Tierra Blanca, with systematic actions carried out jointly by the Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (KUFS), Japan, and the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua ( UNAN Managua), through its Archaeological Documentation and Research Center (CADI). This project also involves residents of that locality. As of 2018, a new phase began with the dissemination and strengthening of relations between the Project and municipal institutions - Mayor’s Offi ce, MINED, National Police - through the creation of a permanent offi ce of the Project in the municipality. The constant work carried out from the office allowed the dissemination and awareness of the population about cultural heritage, mainly in the municipal authorities, in the teaching body of secondary education and in the general population of the town of Tierra Blanca. El autor tiende a explicar algunas de las actividades que se desarrollaron desde la Ofi cina del Proyecto Arqueológico Matiguás, con sede en el municipio del mismo nombre del departamento de Matagalpa, en el norte de Nicaragua, durante sus funciones como representante y ejecutivo de dicha ofi cina. Se presentan algunas acciones desarrolladas durante un año (2018 -2019), destacando aquellas que han sido apropiadas por los pobladores de las localidades de Tierra Blanca en la comarca Quirragua (rural) y de la ciudad de Matiguás (urbano). El proyecto se desarrolla desde el año 2012 en el sitio arqueológico Las Vegas, de la localidad de Tierra Blanca, con actuaciones sistemáticas ejecutadas de manera conjunta por la Universidad de Estudios Extranjeros de Kioto (KUFS), Japón y la Universidad Nacio nal Autónoma de Nicaragua (UNANManagua), a través de su Centro Arqueológico de Documentación e Investigación (CADI). Dicho proyecto involucra también a pobladores de dicha localidad. A partir del año 2018, se inició una nueva fase con la difusión y fortalecimiento de relaciones entre el Proyecto y las instituciones municipales – Alcaldía, MINED, Policía Nacional- a través de la creación de una ofi cina permanente del Proyecto en el municipio.El trabajo constante realizado desde la ofi cina permitió la difusión y concientización de la población sobre el patrimonio cultural, mayormente en las autoridades municipales, en el cuerpo docente de la enseñanza media y en la población general de la localidad de Tierra Blanca.
