| Descripción : | This paper aims to present some of the preliminary hypotheses and reflections that have emerged from my ongoing research into the modes of (re)presentation of indigenous women in three sub-regions of Latin America / Abya Yala: South America, the Andes, and Central America. Beginning with the distinction between institutional representation and "epistemic re-presentation", on the one hand, and between different generations of indigenous women, on the other, I address: a) the mechanisms and actions that have developed for institutional representation; and b) the predominant type of text, mediation and thematic shifts in epistemic re-presentation. This analysis is based on historical sources and a corpus comprising documentary material from seven countries and interviews with indigenous women from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Panama. El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar algunas reflexiones e hipótesis preliminares que emergen de una investigación en curso sobre los modos de (re)presentación de las mujeres-indígenas en tres subregiones de Latinoamérica / Abya Yala: Suramérica, Andes y Centroamérica. A partir de presentar la distinción, por un lado, entre la representación institucional y “re-presentación epistémica y, por el otro, entre diferentes generaciones de mujeres-indígenas abordo: a) los mecanismos y acciones desarrollados para la representación institucional; b) el tipo de texto y mediación, y los desplazamientos temáticos predominantes en la re-presentación epistémica. Para el análisis me baso en fuentes históricas y un corpus constituido por material documental de siete países y entrevistas con mujeres-indígenas de Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Panamá. |
