Descripción :	Para fortalecer la competencia de Resolución de problemas matemáticos en los estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Colegio San José “El Trigal”, se realiza el estudio en el aula a 33 participantes de sexto grado de la sede Principal, bajo las características de la investigación- acción y con el objetivo de fortalecer la Competencia matemática Resolución de Problemas a partir de las Operaciones Básicas entre Números Naturales. A partir del estudio de los resultados de las Pruebas Saber y una prueba diagnóstica diseñada de preguntas de la Prueba Saber 2016, se realiza una propuesta pedagógica de aula que consta de dos momentos: el primero induce el estudiante hacia la aprehensión del Método Polya, estrategia para la solución de problemas matemáticos y el segundo refuerza la operaciones básicas entre números Naturales desde la solución de situaciones matemáticas del contexto próximo. Para su ejecución se diseñan y plantean ocho sesiones con su respectivo taller guía a realizar en grupo de cuatro estudiantes, cada uno de ellos integra conceptos necesarios para la aprehensión de cada tema, ejercicios y la utilización de los cuatro pasos de Polya (Entender el problema, configurar un plan, ejecutar el plan y mirar hacia atrás), incluyendo el paso 0 que recomienda José Antonio Fernández (el querer resolverlo), para la solución de problemas matemáticos. Se usa la observación directa, diarios de campo, fotografías, videos y documentos de los talleres guías realizados por los participantes, para recolectar la información. Los datos recogidos se analizan y reflexionan desde la categorización, que relaciona los procesos que abarcan la aprehensión de conocimientos: aprendizaje de las operaciones básicas con números naturales. Como resultados la investigación arroja, que los participantes logran solucionar problemas matemáticos, desde la comprensión del enunciado del problema, aclaración de dudas, identificación de todos los datos y de lo que quiere encontrar, formulación de un plan para encontrar una solución, realización de las operaciones correctamente y verificación del resultado. Finalmente se propone a la Institución asignar una hora de clase para la formulación y solución de problemas matemáticos, además la planeación de clases a partir de talleres guías, que facilitan la construcción de conocimientos a partir de aprendizajes significativos y la interacción con el otro. From the study of the results of the Saber Tests and a designed diagnostic test of questions of the Saber Test 2016, a pedagogical proposal is made of a classroom that consists of two moments: the first one induces the student towards the apprehension of the Polya Method, strategy for the solution of mathematical problems and the second reinforces the basic operations between natural numbers from the solution of mathematical situations of the next context. For its execution, eight sessions were proposed with its Guide Workshop to be carried out in a group of four students, each of them integrating concepts necessary for the apprehension of each topic, exercises and the use of the four steps of Polya (Understanding the problem, configuring a plan, execute the plan and look back), including step 0 of José Antonio Fernández (want to solve it), for the solution of mathematical problems. Direct observation, field diaries, photographs, videos and documents from the guide workshops carried out by the participants were used to collect the information. The collected data is analyzed and reflected from the categorization, which relates the processes that cover the apprehension of knowledge: teaching and learning of basic operations with natural numbers. As results of the research, it is possible that the participants manage to solve problems, from the understanding of the problem statement, clarification of doubts, identification of all the data and what they wanted to find, formulation of a plan to find a solution, realization of the operations correctly and Verification of the result. Finally, it is proposed to the Institution to allocate one hour of Formulation and Solution of Mathematical Problems, as well as the planning of classes from Guided Workshops, since they facilitate the construction of knowledge from meaningful learning and interaction with the other.
