Descripción :	This volume coordinated by Fábio José Rodrigues da Costa initially stems from the research that was born from the International Meeting on Arts Education held at the University of Porto, which later had its third edition at the Universidade Regional do Cariri URCA (Crato – Ceará, Brazil ). In the introductory presentation chapter, Fábio Rodrigues tells us about the important tradition of academic meetings in Art Education that have been held in Brazil for three decades. In this journey, it is worth highlighting the contributions that arise from the northeast of this immense country, where the cultural capital of São Paulo is truly outstanding, but we cannot lose sight of the contributions from other places where there are research groups outlining their own and original discourse. . One of these groups is the one led by the compiler of the volume, the Research Group Ensino da Arte em Contextos Contemporâneos GPEACC/CNPq Este volumen coordinado por Fábio José Rodrigues da Costa parte inicialmente de la investigación que nació a partir del Encontro Internacional sobre Educação Artística celebrado en la Universidad de Porto, que posteriormente tuvo su tercera edición en la Universidade Regional do Cariri URCA (Crato – Ceará, Brasil). En el capítulo introductorio de presentación, Fábio Rodrigues nos relata la importante tradición de encuentros académicos en Educación Artística que se llevan a cabo en Brasil desde hace tres décadas. En este trayecto cabe destacar las aportaciones que surgen desde el nordeste de este inmenso país, donde la capitalidad cultural de São Paulo es realmente destacada, pero no podemos perder de vista las aportaciones de otros lugares donde existen grupos de investigación trazando un discurso propio y original. Uno de estos grupos es el que lidera el compilador del volumen, el Grupo de pesquisa Ensino da Arte em Contextos Contemporâneos GPEACC/CNPq
